My name’s Brenton Edgecombe I’ve been creating Elton John impressions for around thirty years and I’d love to come and entertain you and your guests. I’m based in Adelaide, South Australia and I do travel! I perform all the Elton John songs you love with wonderful stories and anecdotes providing a great night of entertainment. Impersonating Elton – a double challenge!
“Its a little bit funny” being an Elton John tribute act. You won’t find us in the Club at the End of every Street. Probably one Elton to every 50 Elvises, or 25 ABBAs! I think one reason for this is that to be an Elton impersonator you have to be able to not only sing like Elton and look like Elton, you also need to be able to play the piano like Elton, and that’s not easy!
I’ve spent countless hours alone with just a YouTube screen and a keyboard mirroring Elton’s every move. I’ve learned that the Elton of the 70s is a very different player, singer and performer to Elton in the 80s and Elton today, so I’ve tried to develop a style which encapsulates the best aspects of his entire career. For example, I’ve heard him play Crocodile Rock so fast it sounds a little like Flight of the Bumblebee and so slow that it would qualify as a ballad!
Sir Elton has been hailed as one of the greatest musicians of this era and has been praised for his “lasting impact on British culture”. He also recorded the biggest selling song in history when he re-invented his hit song Candle in the Wind for the funeral of Princess Diana.
There are too many great things to say about Elton John, which is why I’m proud to be one of the world’s few Elton John impersonators. I look forward to entertaining you and your guests at your venue, corporate function, birthday party, wedding or special event. An Elton John tribute show for all occasions!
